Hospital Corporation of America (HCA) needed an integration solution that would import hospital and provider credentialing records from multiple data repositories into Visual Cactus. These records were being pulled from twenty five different credentialing systems across more than a hundred facilities. HCA needed the data to be converted into one format and housed in one location: Visual Cactus. The Convergence platform was configured to pull the data, translate it and reformat it into one cohesive format to achieve the conversion for each facility record set. Each hospital was treated as its own separate conversion with varying degrees of complexity based on the hospital’s legacy system database schema. Using Convert, HCA was able to rapidly develop a reliable and repeatable process which served to address existing as well as future conversion needs.
